The Research Center is an interdisciplinary group of faculty members from nine different academic departments who collaborate on cutting edge research in materials science. Consolidating financial and intellectual resources in an organization such as ours provides the benefits of attracting larger grants, gaining access to technologically advanced equipment, and bringing other internationally recognized faculty and promising graduate students to the group.
The Center draws from the talents of faculty who hold appointments in the College of Engineering and Architecture and the College of Sciences. Our Center Director, who is also a faculty member of both colleges, collaborates with industry leaders and serves as a link to other research groups around the world. |
